WHATEVER IT TAKES
Power to the people
The World is changing rapidly that’s why PAYFORT needed to shake up things last year in 2015 when we started implementing the light version of Holacracy as we were almost implementing it by having a reasonably flat corporate structure. Given that we are a family of 85 people who work remotely from six different MENA countries, we have replaced emails with the Glip collaboration software over a year ago to optimize our communication. Forget about titles! Everyone can lead, get to choose different paths and take actions, no more staying behind on tasks, company protocols or someone else’s opinion.
The company structure is broken down into circles rather than departments, with each circle perusing a certain goal. Each circle holds its own regular tactical meetings in which problems - tensions - are thrashed out, decisions taken and tasks appointed. Monthly feedback allows everyone in the company to see what’s working and what isn’t. The spirit of transparency was really great after opting in the concept and No one can kill a good idea. Great contributions get recognized and celebrated. Excellence usually wins as we added an incentive structure.
